Collin & Charlotte
My passion for photography started at a young age, when I bought my first “real” camera with the money I had saved myself. What began as simply playing with settings, light and composition slowly turned into something much bigger. I fell in love with the way a photo can hold a feeling, not just a moment.
Over the years, I’ve photographed more than 150 weddings, 80+ proposals and hundreds of couples in front of my camera. I’ve worked at elegant castle venues, relaxed outdoor celebrations and destination weddings abroad, but my approach always stays the same: calm, observant and intentional.
I love the quiet in-between moments just as much as the big ones. The way someone looks at you when they think nobody notices. A hand being held under the table. The little laugh right before the ceremony starts. Those are often the images that become the most meaningful later.
Editing is one of my favourite parts of the entire process. I can spend hours in Lightroom refining the tones, colours and softness of a gallery until everything feels exactly right. I want the final images to feel natural, warm and timeless, with that soft depth that makes a photo feel almost alive.
That depth is also why I love working with prime lenses. I shoot with two Nikon Z6 cameras and carefully chosen prime lenses, because they create that beautiful separation between you and the background. It gives the images a soft, creamy, almost three-dimensional look. Once you notice it, you’ll probably start seeing the difference everywhere.
For me, wedding photography is about more than pretty images. It’s about creating a gallery that feels like the day actually felt: elegant, emotional, relaxed and completely yours.
I’m the videographer behind Shots by Charlotte, although I didn’t actually grow up with a camera in my hands. My love for filming started because Charlotte completely pulled me into her world of photography and weddings. After seeing how much joy she found in capturing people’s most important moments, it slowly became impossible not to get excited about it too.
At first, I joked that I barely saw her on weekends because she was always photographing weddings. So one day I said: “Why don’t I just come with you and film?” Charlotte taught me everything she knew about cameras, light and the way she looks at a wedding day, and I also followed a videography course to really understand how to tell a story through moving images. What started as a fun idea quickly became something much bigger.
Now, filming weddings has become one of my favourite things to do. There is something so special about spending a full day surrounded by happy people, beautiful places, emotional moments and, let’s be honest, usually very good cake. Capturing all of that on video, so couples can watch it back years later and feel the day all over again, is honestly one of the best parts of this work.
I film with my Nikon Z8, which I secretly think is one of the coolest cameras ever. A full wedding day can easily turn into 500GB of footage, because there are so many little moments worth saving. The nervous smiles before the ceremony, the way guests react during the vows, the movement of a dress in the wind, the energy on the dance floor — video captures those things in a way that feels alive.
What makes our work together special is that Charlotte and I know each other so well. We understand each other without needing many words, which is incredibly helpful on a wedding day. She focuses on the still moments, I focus on the movement, sound and atmosphere, and together we can capture the day in a way that feels complete.
For me, wedding videography is not just about making a beautiful film. It is about preserving the feeling of the day: the voices, the laughter, the music, the little looks, the chaos, the calm and everything in between. So when you watch your wedding film later, it doesn’t just show what happened. It brings you right back to how it felt.

Let's Get Personal
The stories between people, places, and the details of the day. Documentary wedding photography is about capturing moments in a way that creates timeless and precious memories that happen naturally, without direction or intervention from the photographer. I’m happiest when my photos represent the day’s story in a natural and honest way.
I photograph weddings in a creative, documentary style, creating a narrative of the events happening around me. I capture both the small details and the big moments, all in the same relaxed manner. I won’t get in your way or tell you what to do (unless you’d like that). Whether you have a Dutch wedding or are getting married anywhere in the world, I would love to hear from you!
I’ve shot in almost every imaginable type of location, from traditional churches to industrial warehouses. I’ve been fortunate to photograph in so many different environments, and I feel just as comfortable in an urban setting as in a picturesque castle. I photograph in a natural documentary style, capturing moments as they unfold before my eyes. No poses, no setups, just real moments that become lifelong memories.
